A recent college graduate in environmental studies, Brian Wasser has been taking photos for only the past two years. In that time, he has participated in several shows and exhibits. He is an active member of Fresh, an artist collective based in Port Jefferson. This past summer, be participated in The Project at the Parrish Art Museum in Southampton . Brian's rapidly expanding body of work exists in reverence both to the aimless, spontaneous life of the wanderer... and to the residual energies of those who have ever passed through or beheld his non-human subjects. At the intersection of these themes is an emphasis on the quiet search for adventure. The factor of the unknown is often exhibited through a stark, murky and dreamlike manner of portrayal. This approach mirrors the forgotten subjects which his camera seeks.
