We knew this place would be good before we walked in the door. Driving by the restaurant, I had to pull into a gas station down the street and ask for directions. One man who was filling his tank began to rave about Bliss' layered chicken (with fontina and ricotta cheese) and skirt steak. Eager to try this restaurant, we parked the car and went in.
For a weekday night the restaurant was surprisingly crowded for 9 at night. Bliss' decor is clean with warm colors, dark wood tones and blown glass nights, creating an atmosphere fit for romance, friends or family. The people already enjoying their food were dressed for a nice evening out.
We went for the fondue and gnocci bolognaise - which were both magnificent, colorful and well presented dishes. The rest of the menu includes options such as pignoli nut crusted red snapper, roasted tilapia and salads. Stop in at the bar (Bliss boasts a fine selection of premium Belgium beers) and save room for dessert as well.
