Where else does one go for seafood on the south shore of Long Island? This mile long, promenade-style strip of seafood focused restaurants situated along a canal. The industrial feel mixed with the brick sidewalks, antique details, and 'sea' theme really give the Nautical Mile it's appeal.

One of the larger establishments is E.B. Elliot's, which offers a bar on the first floor and a more formal dining experience on the 2nd floor with spectacular indoor and outdoor seating complete with views of the Woodcleft Canal. All of the restaurants (probably around 15 total) on the Nautical Mile offer primarily seafood with canal-view seating and some kind of outdoor bar. Walk up and down the street to find one that suits your needs.

Spend an evening on the canal watching boats go back and fourth, walk up and down the steet and even enjoy a game of mini-golf. Parking is available across the street from most of the restaurants. You can expect late hours and live music during the summer.
