The Long Island Gay & Lesbian Film Festival is fast becoming a major showcase for LGBTQ film makers the world over. The festival is the Long Island region’s biggest gay arts event attracting more attention each year from local media. Long Island having a population of nearly three million (Nassau and Suffolk Counties), is a sophisticated suburban region well served by the diversity of the festival. Their tenth year promises to be bigger and better than previous years.

The film group not only hosts the main event late in the year, but an end-of-summer Fire Island Film and Video Festival and scattered film screenings throughout the year. As the art of film becomes more accessible, you may want to consider consider entering yourself in the competition. Check the website for details.
