Edison Glass, the hypothetical collaboration of Thomas Alva Edison and composer Philip Glass, formed in 1999 when Joshua Silverberg (singer/guitar), brothers Joe (drums) and Mountain (singer/bass) Morin, and James Usher (guitar) came together for a singular cause - making rock music for the kids.

Formed in the Spring of 2002 by Troy Polsley and Jason Cohen, Greener, combines a rock format with memorable catchy songs that makes their songs frequent and repeat visitors to their fans' Myspace pages, CD players and MP3 devices.

In 2002 the band released it?s first EP and played shows as a power trio. Realizing that something was missing, Polsley put down his bass and picked up a guitar to compliment Jason's playing. The band then brought a new bass player into the mix. With this line-up, Greener released a 14 song CD entitled, Weekend Thriller, which gained Greener access to many radio stations, reviews and new fans. "We had fans saying that the music kept them from suicide and Army officers saying that it was the only thing that got them through their tour in Iraq", says Cohen. The emotional impact of Weekend Thriller was clear and fans loved it.

In 2004 Polsley picked up the bass guitar again and Greener struggled to find a new guitarist and drummer. In spite of this challenge, singer, Troy Polsley recorded a demo of the band?s most downloaded song to date. Christmas Song was recorded six days from Christmas 2004. Before Christmas, the song had been downloaded over 100,000 times. "It was really just a thank you that we sent to our fans but then it just kept spreading", says Polsley. Christmas Song downloads reached over 1,000,000 downloads by the summer of 2005.

After reaching out to many new fans Polsley and Cohen realized they had to find the right players to round out the group. Jeff Oddo, Guitar and Chris Wall, drums, joined the group in 2006. Jeff and Chris added a new dynamic to the band that further color the music including a new version of Christmas Song.

For Christmas 2006 the band has rerecorded a professional version of Christmas Song and a new acoustic version. The band teamed up with the music industry AIDS awareness charity, LIFEbeat to help promote the song which will help to benefit the charity via proceeds of sales of the song.

In 2007 the band is planning to release several new songs and reach out to more fans in many geographical regions and musical tastes. "We are experimenting more with the newer material but still keeping that catchiness that makes us who we are", says Polsley. Be on the look out for multiple releases in 2007 from Greener.
