Every wednesday night Cool Beanz in St James, Long Island hosts a live acoustic event. Local and regional bands (mostly guitar) play all original material and are required to have at least an hour of material and a cd available for purchase - just to make sure the bands are serious about their music. Lucky Luciano is the best of both worlds; his crude upbringing clashed by the posh isolation of his hometown has given him a deeply conflicted edge as well as a unique advantage. [more]




Though Last Charge of the Light Horse deals in driving guitars and emotionally charged lyrics, the group has little else in common with the emo and hardcore scenes for which its Long Island, NY home base is so well known. [more]

Edison Glass, the hypothetical collaboration of Thomas Alva Edison and composer Philip Glass, formed in 1999 when band members came together for a singular cause - making rock music for the kids. [more]

This Long Island Band formed in the Spring of 2002 by Troy Polsley and Jason Cohen, Greener, combines a rock format with memorable catchy songs that makes their songs frequent and repeat visitors to their fans' Myspace pages, CD players and MP3 devices. [more]
