The Gateway Playhouse is housed on a seven acre area of land and consists of the Mainstage theatre, the Barn theatre for acting classes (children and adult), two rehearsal studios, three dorms for actors and more. The rustic look of the building and professional quality of the shows brings a unique theatre experience that is hard to find on Long Island and even made them one of the top ten summer theatres in the nation.

The theatre at Gateway seats 500 and is fully air-conditioned and heated. The large stage, computer controlled lighting system and the state-of-the-art sound system will bring you a broadway quality show. The theatre also attracts professional directors, performers, musicians and technicians from New York City and all the actors are professional performers.

Gateway has an acting school for both children and adults. Alumni of their classes have worked on Broadway, in national tours or have gone onto tv and film.
